Liv Luttrell’s summer collection reflects organic architecture in gold and natural diamonds
This series of ten pieces contemplates the beauty and simplicity of nature. The traditional Japanese rock garden, a long-standing fascination of Liv Luttrell, serves as an inspiration.
“The intention to emulate the essence of nature rather than its literal appearance deeply resonates with me. It's a concept I aim to capture in my designs.”
Another significant influence is Fallingwater House, the iconic piece of organic architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright. Its unique balance, confidently asserting itself while harmonizing seamlessly with its surroundings, inspires Liv Luttrell's designs. She seeks to echo this harmony, with each design making a statement while fitting seamlessly on the body of the wearer.
Central to the series are two necklaces, made to evoke a sense of motion as the links gracefully swirl around the neck. The first necklace, at modern view of the diamond tennis necklace, features pairs of baguette diamonds stacked on every link. This theme extends to a pair of earrings with baguette diamonds cascading in elegant, curving arcs. The second necklace, crafted from bold yellow gold links with a three-segment design and a high-polish finish, exudes warmth and grounding.
The dialogue between earthy yellow gold and watery baguette diamonds permeates the entire collection. Each piece is made by hand using traditional techniques in Liv Luttrell's London workshop and meticulously finished with one of three signature textures: high polish, silk engraving, and a gentle velvet, imparting a soft and tactile feel to the collection.
